We are excited to announce that Shawenim Abinoojii Inc. and Southeast Child and Family Services will be implementing a joint Youth Council for the 2022-2023 year!

A majority of the services and programs that SAI & SECFS provides is aimed towards Indigenous children, youth and families. It is essential that we form a Youth Council to provide them with the opportunity to guide both organizations and engage on their own behalf, their communities, and the Southeast region. Engaging youth as part of a Youth Council acknowledges the inherent value that they all hold, as well as help build their capacity and leadership skills. Involving the youth as leaders in our service delivery is in line with SAI & SECFS's principles of teamwork, accountability, and prevention.
